Pimm's ... is widely used in everyday British culture. Pimm's was invented around 1840 by James Pimm, the owner of the Oyster Bar in London. Pimm served the drink as a digestive stimulant, calling it 'No. 1 Cup'. The drink was commercialized in 1859.
In addition to the alcoholic drink, there is also a mixed drink under the name Pimm's No. 1 Cup, which consists of 6cl Pimm's and lemonade.
